With a Grateful Dead glow.

Over the past few days, consumers of the Off-White™ x Nike Air Presto in white have used the upcoming drop as a canvas of expression, and musician John Mayer joined in on the fun to share his own custom. Done by Online Ceramics, the once white collaboration sees a tie-dye makeover, channeling inspiration from current tie-dye trends. The new multicolored upper is complemented by the sneaker’s original shifted Swoosh and translucent lacing system. You’ll also find its sole unit and white laces to remain fully intact.

The Nike Air Max 1 and Zoom Spiridon “Parra” models could easily make this year’s list of best footwear drops. The Dutch artist’s multi-patterned designs on each shoe are now embellished on the Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 courtesy of New York City-born artist and sneaker customizer, Dan “Mache” Gamache. Using the “Powder Blue” model as the canvas, Mache meticulously employs Parra’s stripes and polka dot motifs on the overlays of the shoe. Rounding out the makeup are cloud details on the quarter panels.

Peep the custom above and head over to Mache’s official website to view more projects. In related stories, the official store list for the Off-White™ x Nike Air Presto in black has been announced.

Takashi Murakami Flaunts Nike Air Force 1 Custom by Studio Hagel

Topped with Off-White™ laces.

Studio Hagel created a custom pair of Nike Air Force 1s for Takashi Murakami. Utilizing an all-white model as the canvas, the Amsterdam-based design imprint embellished the upper portions with the Japanese artist’s multi-colored Flowers motif on what appears to be leather overlays. Zigzag stitching details are also observed beneath the Swoosh logos in a neon yellow tone. Lastly, the bespoke sneaker is finished off with Off-White™ shoelaces alongside adjustable pull tabs at the heel caps that are tightened with yellow lace locks to match.

Murakami was spotted wearing the custom AF1s before the Off-White™ Spring/Summer 2019 show at Paris Fashion Week Men’s. Check out the custom AF1s above and let us know your thoughts. This past May, Studio Hagel crafted a unique pair of adidas Futurecraft 4Ds for Daniel Arsham.
