A Closer Look at Serena Williams’ Off-White™ x Nike “QUEEN” Collection

For the “Queen of Queens, NY.”

Earlier this month Nike shared a first look at the monumental ”QUEEN” collection alongside Off-White™ for Serena Williams. Today we provide a closer look at the offering’s footwear.

The collection’s rollout begins with the Air Max 97; THE TEN’s deconstructed look is continued on this special iteration as its thin upper welcomes a mix of grey and light pink. Off-White’s™ signature design points return thanks to shifted logos, industrial-styled branding and a volt zip tie which gives Serena the nickname “Queen of Queens, NY” — the location for the US Open Championships. The midsole sees a purple to pink color gradient as you move towards the heel of the sneaker.

The collection’s Blazer Mid shares an enlarged Swoosh logo on its lateral and medial sides with exposed stitching throughout plus an unfinished end on the tongue. Shades of grey are presented on its paneled upper with the same color gradient making its way onto the midsole.

Next up is the NikeCourt Flare 2 PE. One of Serena’s go-to performance models receives the Off-White™ touch with two colorway options of silver glitter and an icy blue. The low-cut model incorporates an inner bootie for a snug fit while the Off-White™ seal of approval is presented on each lateral side and the line’s signature arrow logo is placed on the medials. Glitter accents are incorporated onto each heel as volt accents are added to the Swoosh tab and zip-tie. The final touch is found on the midsole’s “SERENA” and “QUEEN” branding written in black.

Browse our shots above and let us know what you think is the standout pair in the Off-White™ x Nike “QUEEN” collection for Serena Williams. Be sure to also check out the Off-White™ x Nike “Spooky Pack” details.

Nike Debuts Two Air Max 97 & Air Max Plus Hybrids in “Orewood Brown”

Switching between the upper and sole.

Nike‘s latest hybrid sneaker endeavor brings us not one, but two mash-up silhouettes of the Air Max 97 and Air Max Plus. Debuting in a sleek “Orewood Brown” colorway, the duo offering switches between an AM97 upper with an AM Plus midsole and a reverse version of an AM Plus upper and 97 sole.

Both designs see a tonal “Orewood Brown” multi-textile upper and sole unit, accented with an espresso brown “Rattan String”-hued tongue, lace panel and inner lining. A pale mint green embroidered Swoosh at the tongue adds a subtle finishing touch to the two hybrid models.

The Nike Air Max Plus 97 (Plus upper) retails for $160 USD and the Air Max 97 Plus for $175 USD, both scheduled to release on August 1 at Nike’s web store and select Swoosh retailers such as mita sneakers.
